Career Services
The Project Linden, Inc. Employment Readiness Program provides consumers with a structured pre-employment and job search course. This program diligently works with consumers to prepare them for success in the workplace. We are committed to meeting the career needs of our clients and providing positive results to our employer network. One-on-one guidance is provided to assist consumers in resume writing, interviewing techniques, and self-assessment to provide job leads. The agency collaborates with local employers to refer successful consumers to jobs that will lead to the participants economic self-suffiency. The agency placement rate continues to exceed 95%.
High Risk Youth
This program is a community-based program which targets youth who
live in low-income communities which are heavily influenced by drugs
and crime. This program offers innovative programming that uses team
sports as a vehicle to educate youth on the importance of academic
achievment and maintaining an alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence-free
lifestyle. The agency teams continued in their 10 year winning streak
of the Hilliard basketball Tournament. This year was highlighted as
the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams each placed first in the tournament.
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides intensive drug treatment
services targeting the criminal justice population. Individuals within
this population are in need of extensive services to empower them
to establish a drug free lifestyle. The ten week structured program
provides intensive consumer education, individual and group counseling
services. The program is designed to meet the multiplicity of issues
presented, ranging from unemployment to lack of appropriate support
systems. The agency continues to implement services which are designed
to meet the clinical and cultural needs of the consumer.
Employment Readiness Program
The Job Placement Services is an essential component of empowering
individuals to obtain employment. This program provides job search
skill development, employer contacts and employment opportunities
for treatment clients. The job readiness program provides comprehensive,
pre-employment skills training services to participants. The program
provides a multitude of services including: one on one objective assessments,
surveys to determine appraisal testing in math and reading, intensive
pre-employment job search classes, self esteem development, job placement
assistance, resume development, public transportation, and employment
motivational development training. This program is designed to meet
the needs of individuals who have a long-term history of unemployment
problems due to secondary issues such as, incarceration, under-employment,
low job skills and limited education.
Women's Services Program
The Women's Services Program provides a comprehensive plan of cost
effective and quality prevention services designed to enhance the
access to treatment services, increase gender and culturally appropriate
services to address women's issues, and to increase the number of
babies born drug free. The program targets high-risk females, specifically
pregnant women and female youth. The services include intensive interim
services, outreach activities, referral to social services, on-going
gender specific groups, cross training and follow up activities. These
services ensure access to treatment, prenatal care and social support
services geared toward the delivery of healthy drug free babies.
